Product Description

The VALUE COLLECTION 720-1005 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal and profile milling in machine shop and manufacturing environments. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 5/32-inch (0.1563-inch) cutting diameter and a 2-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators working on manual mills and machining centers.

This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials in light to medium cutting applications. The regular-length configuration and 3/8-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in job shop and production environments. The 7/16-inch length of cut provides adequate reach for shallow-to-moderate pocketing, slotting, and contouring operations.

Installation Notes

This tool is installed by machinists into a collet chuck or end mill holder mounted in a vertical mill or machining center. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Confirm shank seating depth and runout before beginning a cut. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool, so external coolant or cutting fluid application should be used as appropriate for the workpiece material.
