The VALUE COLLECTION 705183PR is a 6-32 x 1/8 inch cup-less set screw with an oval point, manufactured from Austenitic Grade A2 stainless steel. It is driven by a 1/16 inch hex key and conforms to ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F880 standards. This fastener is designed to lock or position a component on a shaft or within an assembly without a protruding head. The oval point provides a reduced-stress contact that resists marring on softer mating surfaces. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, and general maintenance trades use socket set screws like this in equipment assemblies, motor shaft collars, and fixture mounting applications.
This set screw is suited for light-duty clamping and positioning tasks in residential and commercial trade work. The 6-32 UNC thread and 1/8 inch overall length make it appropriate for compact assemblies where space is limited. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion, making it a practical choice for damp or outdoor-adjacent environments common in plumbing and HVAC service. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per order, supplied as individual units per package.
Designed as a standard 6-32 UNC inch-series set screw for use in any application requiring an ASME/ANSI B18.3 compliant oval point headless fastener in a 6-32 tapped hole.
Installation requires a 1/16 inch hex key. Ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before driving the screw. Do not overtorque, as small-diameter stainless steel fasteners are susceptible to galling and thread seizing. Apply an appropriate anti-seize compound when installing stainless steel fasteners into stainless steel tapped holes to prevent galling.
