The VALUE COLLECTION 70129 is a straight flute thread mill designed for cutting internal UNC threads in a 1-8 configuration. Built from solid carbide grade K20C, it delivers consistent thread geometry in demanding machining environments. The tool features 6 flutes and an uncoated bright finish, with a 0.62 inch cutting diameter and a 1.5 inch length of cut. At 3.62 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch shank diameter, it mounts securely in standard toolholders. Machinists and CNC operators use this mill to produce accurate internal threads in a single helical pass, making it a reliable choice for production and job-shop threading operations.
This thread mill is suited for machining internal 1-8 UNC threads in workpieces where tapping is impractical or where thread quality control is critical. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers capable of helical interpolation. The solid carbide K20C construction makes it well suited for threading ferrous and non-ferrous materials where rigidity and wear resistance are required. Minimum nominal bore diameter for this tool is 1 inch. Coolant-through capability is not available on this tool, so flood or mist external coolant is the recommended approach for chip evacuation during threading cycles.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with helical interpolation capability and standard toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch straight shank. Minimum nominal bore diameter is 1 inch for proper thread engagement.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with thread milling cycles. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before loading the tool. Confirm runout and shank seating in the toolholder before initiating a threading cycle. Follow the machine tool manufacturer programming guidelines for helical interpolation and feed rate settings appropriate to the workpiece material.
