The VALUE COLLECTION 6RSB3/4*1/4 is a threaded pipe reducer fitting designed to transition a 3/4-inch female pipe thread to a 1/4-inch female pipe thread in a single in-line connection. Constructed from 316 stainless steel, this fitting resists corrosion in demanding wet and chemical environments. It carries a 150 psi pressure rating and is built to Schedule 40 pipe standards, making it suitable for use in plumbing, process piping, and mechanical systems where material integrity under pressure and exposure to harsh media is required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters handle this type of fitting as part of routine line reduction work.
This reducer is used wherever a piping run must step down from a 3/4-inch to a 1/4-inch line, including residential and light commercial plumbing systems, hydraulic and pneumatic supply lines, chemical feed systems, and marine or coastal installations where 316 stainless steel alloy provides superior chloride resistance compared to 304 grade. The FNPT x FNPT end connections accept standard tapered pipe thread on both ends, making it compatible with a wide range of off-the-shelf fittings, valves, and instruments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for threaded pipe systems using standard NPT connections at 150 psi service pressure.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters following applicable IPC or mechanical code requirements for the jurisdiction. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing any existing fitting or threading in the new reducer. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads being engaged into the FNPT ports, taking care not to over-wrap and restrict the bore. Avoid over-torquing threaded stainless fittings, as galling can occur; use the correct backup wrench technique and turn only until snug and leak-free.
