The VALUE COLLECTION 68025725 is a metric split lock washer designed for use with M8 fasteners in applications where vibration resistance and load distribution are required. Manufactured from 18-8 austenitic stainless steel (Grade A2), it provides solid corrosion resistance in wet, chemical-exposure, and outdoor environments. The washer measures 8.1 to 8.5mm inside diameter and 14.8mm maximum outside diameter, with a 2mm thickness. Its spring-action split profile bites into the mating surface and fastener bearing face to resist loosening under dynamic loads. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical trades reach for this type of hardware in routine assembly and equipment mounting work.
This split lock washer is suited for metric fastener assemblies in both residential and commercial settings. Typical applications include mechanical equipment mounts, junction box hardware, pipe hanger assemblies, pump and motor mounting, and structural fastener stacks where A2 stainless is specified for corrosion resistance. The DIN 127B standard governs its dimensional profile, making it interchangeable with other DIN 127B-compliant M8 washers in the field. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 100 units, making it appropriate for stocking or project-quantity purchasing.
Designed for use with M8 metric fasteners. Dimensional profile conforms to DIN 127B, making it compatible with standard M8 screw and bolt assemblies where a DIN 127B split lock washer is specified.
Installation is performed by machinists, millwrights, pipefitters, and general trade technicians as part of bolted assembly work. Always de-energize or depressurize the equipment being serviced before introducing fastener hardware. Place the split lock washer between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface, with the split gap oriented so the spring ends can seat properly against both faces. Do not reuse split lock washers that have been fully compressed flat, as they will not provide reliable locking tension once the spring set is lost.
