The VALUE COLLECTION 601436BR is a cup point set screw designed for secure fastening in mechanical assemblies where a flush or recessed fastener is required. Manufactured from alloy steel, this screw measures 3/4-10 thread size with a 7/8-inch overall length. It is driven with a 3/8-inch hex key and conforms to ASME/ANSI B18.3 and ASTM F912 standards. The cup point geometry bites into the mating surface to resist rotation and axial movement without requiring a protruding head. Machinists, millwrights, and maintenance technicians install these fasteners in shafts, collars, pulleys, and similar components across industrial and commercial equipment.
This set screw is suited for use in shaft-collar assemblies, gear hubs, set-collar clamping applications, and general mechanical fastening where headless fasteners are specified. The UNC thread form makes it compatible with standard inch-series tapped holes. It is appropriate for use in HVAC drive assemblies, pump shafts, fan hubs, and other rotating or stationary mechanical components requiring positive locking without a protruding head profile.
Designed as a standard inch-series headless set screw for use in any application requiring a 3/4-10 UNC tapped hole with 7/8-inch grip depth.
Installation requires a 3/8-inch hex key or T-handle Allen driver. Ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before threading the screw. Power down and de-energize any equipment before servicing shaft or collar assemblies. Do not exceed the torque capacity of alloy steel fasteners at this size; refer to applicable ASME or equipment manufacturer torque tables for final tightening values.
