The VALUE COLLECTION 526046PR is an M10 x 1.50 hex jam nut manufactured from Grade 2H steel with a zinc-plated finish. Jam nuts are thin hex nuts used primarily as locknuts — threaded onto a fastener and tightened against a standard nut or mating surface to resist loosening under vibration or dynamic load. This nut measures 17 mm across flats and 5 mm in height, conforming to DIN 439 and ISO 4035 dimensional standards. It features a right-hand thread direction. Installation is handled by electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance mechanics working with M10 threaded fasteners in assemblies where locknut function is required.
This jam nut is suited for industrial, commercial, and trade applications where M10 threaded hardware is standard. Common uses include panel mounting, equipment bracing, pipe hanger rod assemblies, conduit supports, and general mechanical fastening where a low-profile locknut is specified. The zinc plating provides a baseline level of corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. Minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per order.
Designed for use with M10 x 1.50 metric coarse-thread fasteners in assemblies requiring a DIN 439 or ISO 4035 compliant jam nut.
Shut down and de-energize any equipment before accessing fastener assemblies in electrical or mechanical systems. Use a standard M10 hex wrench or 17 mm socket to install. When used as a locknut, thread the jam nut onto the fastener first, then thread the standard nut on top and tighten both against each other. Do not substitute this low-profile jam nut for a full-height structural hex nut in load-bearing applications.
