The VALUE COLLECTION 516029 is an unmounted polishing buffing wheel designed for surface finishing, deburring, and polishing operations on metal, wood, and similar materials. Built as a single-ply, medium-density wheel, it mounts directly to bench grinders, polishing lathes, or arbor-driven spindles. At 8 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick, this wheel provides a broad contact surface suited to flat and contoured workpiece geometry. Machinists, fabricators, and toolroom technicians use wheels of this type for final-stage finishing passes where surface quality is the primary objective. The 1/2 inch arbor hole accommodates standard bench grinder and polishing machine spindles commonly found in trade and light industrial shops.
This polishing wheel is appropriate for use in fabrication shops, HVAC and plumbing rough-in environments where copper and brass components require polishing, electrical panel shops, and general metalworking applications. It is suited for bench-mounted polishing equipment operating with a 1/2 inch spindle. The medium density construction balances conformability with stability, making it suitable for both flat stock and light contour work. Single-ply construction provides a firm buffing surface appropriate for compound-assisted polishing of softer metals and finished surfaces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard consumable for bench grinders and polishing lathes equipped with a 1/2 inch arbor spindle.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with rotating abrasive and buffing equipment. Power down and lock out the grinder or polishing machine before mounting or removing the wheel. Verify that the machine spindle speed rating is appropriate for the wheel diameter before operation. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and ensure the arbor nut is secured to the manufacturer-specified tightness using appropriate spanners.
