The VALUE COLLECTION 45889 is a fully threaded stud fastener designed for general mechanical and structural assembly work. It features a 3/8-16 unified coarse thread and a 1 inch overall length. Manufactured from carbon steel at material grade 3.6, the stud carries a black oxide coating that provides a baseline level of rust resistance. The uncoated designation refers to the absence of plating or paint over that base treatment. Fully threaded along its entire length, this stud provides maximum engagement flexibility when used with mating nuts or threaded holes. It is a standard fastener installed by millwrights, pipefitters, electricians, HVAC technicians, and general maintenance trades in a wide range of applications.
This stud is suited for light-duty to medium-duty fastening tasks in residential and commercial equipment assembly, panel mounting, machinery maintenance, and similar applications where a 3/8-16 coarse thread pattern is specified. The 1 inch overall length makes it appropriate for thin-material clamping or shallow-threaded installations. The carbon steel construction is compatible with dry or low-moisture environments. Black oxide treatment adds mild corrosion resistance for indoor or sheltered installations. Minimum order quantity is 10 pieces.
Designed as a standard 3/8-16 fully threaded stud for use with any mating 3/8-16 nuts, coupling nuts, or tapped holes conforming to unified coarse thread specifications.
Installation is performed by hand-threading into a tapped hole or between two mating nuts using standard wrenches or a stud driver. Ensure the receiving threaded hole or nut is clean and free of debris before installation. Carbon steel studs without protective plating should not be used in high-moisture or corrosive environments without additional protection. Follow applicable mechanical or structural codes for torque and fastener specifications relevant to the assembly.
