The VALUE COLLECTION 45812 is a fully threaded stud fastener designed for general mechanical and structural assembly applications. The stud features a 1/4-20 unified coarse thread along its entire 1-inch overall length, providing consistent thread engagement from end to end without a smooth shank section. It is manufactured from carbon steel at material grade 3.6 and carries a black oxide coating that provides a base level of corrosion resistance in dry or lightly exposed environments. Electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general mechanical contractors use fully threaded studs when a through-bolt or fixed anchor point is needed in panels, brackets, or equipment housings.
This stud is suited for light-duty fastening tasks in residential and commercial trade work. Common applications include mounting electrical panels, securing HVAC equipment brackets, anchoring plumbing hangers, and general fixture installation where a 1/4-20 threaded connection is specified. The fully threaded design allows nuts and threaded couplers to be positioned anywhere along the length, giving installers flexibility in adjusting clamping depth or standoff distance during assembly.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 fully threaded stud for use with any 1/4-20 compatible nuts, couplers, inserts, or tapped holes in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing assembly applications.
Install using standard hex nuts or threaded couplers torqued to the fastener specification of the assembly being built. Always confirm the tapped hole or mating hardware matches the 1/4-20 thread pitch before installation to avoid cross-threading. The black oxide finish is not rated for wet or outdoor exposure without additional corrosion protection — apply thread-compatible sealant or coating if the installation environment involves moisture. De-energize any electrical equipment and shut off any pressurized systems before accessing the installation area.
