The VALUE COLLECTION 439-210 is a Schedule 40 PVC pipe bushing designed to reduce a 1-1/2 inch female threaded port down to a 3/4 inch male threaded connection. It uses a male iron pipe thread (MIPT) on the outer end and a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) on the inner end, making it a standard threaded reducer for low-pressure plumbing systems. Weighing just 0.11 pounds, this lightweight fitting is easy to handle during installation and is suited for cold and hot water supply lines, irrigation systems, and general-purpose liquid distribution.
This bushing is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a pipe or fitting size reduction is needed within a threaded system. Typical installations include branch connections off main supply lines, irrigation manifold assemblies, and drain or vent line transitions. It is compatible with other Schedule 40 PVC fittings and pipe in standard NPT thread configurations. Plumbers and irrigation technicians are the primary installers of this fitting type.
Designed as a standard threaded reducer bushing compatible with Schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings using NPT thread patterns in 1-1/2 inch and 3/4 inch sizes.
This fitting is installed by hand-tightening onto the mating threaded port, then wrapping the male threads with PTFE thread tape before final tightening with pipe wrenches. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before beginning work. Follow all applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements for threaded PVC fittings. Do not overtighten, as PVC threads can crack under excessive torque.
