The VALUE COLLECTION 437-248 is a Schedule 40 PVC pipe bushing designed to reduce a 2-inch pipe connection down to a 3/4-inch line. The spigot-by-slip end configuration allows the bushing to insert into a socket fitting on one end while accepting a slip-fit pipe on the other. PVC construction resists corrosion and chemical attack, making it well suited for water distribution, irrigation, and light industrial plumbing systems. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of a threaded or solvent-weld assembly wherever a reduction in line size is required.
This bushing is used in residential and light commercial plumbing applications including potable water supply lines, irrigation manifolds, pool and spa plumbing, and drainage systems where a 2-inch-to-3/4-inch reduction is needed. The Schedule 40 wall thickness meets standard pressure ratings for cold and hot water service. Its spigot-by-slip end connection is compatible with standard Schedule 40 PVC solvent-weld fittings and pipe.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard Schedule 40 PVC pipe and socket fittings in 2-inch and 3/4-inch sizes.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Use an approved PVC primer and solvent cement rated for Schedule 40 pipe when making solvent-weld connections. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer before restoring pressure to the system.
