The VALUE COLLECTION 418-4750 is a cast iron angle plate used for precision workholding and fixturing in machining, grinding, and inspection applications. The plate measures 12 inches wide, 8 inches deep, and 9 inches high, providing a sturdy right-angle reference surface for securing workpieces on milling machines, surface grinders, and layout tables. The surface features through-slots that allow clamps, bolts, and fixture hardware to be positioned along the plate face. The finish is partially machined, meaning critical mating surfaces are ground or machined to tolerance while non-critical surfaces retain the as-cast finish. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary users of this type of fixturing component.
This angle plate is suited for job shop, toolroom, and manufacturing floor use where a rigid, repositionable workholding solution is needed. The open-end design allows long or irregularly shaped workpieces to extend beyond the plate without obstruction. Through-slots on the plate surface provide flexible clamping positions for a wide range of workpiece sizes. The single-plate configuration makes it straightforward to deploy as a standalone fixture or as part of a modular setup on a machine table or granite surface plate.
Designed as a general-purpose workholding fixture compatible with standard T-slot machine tables, surface plates, and inspection setups that accept bolted or clamped angle plate configurations.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Before mounting, ensure the machine table or surface plate is clean and free of chips or burrs that could affect seating accuracy. Secure the angle plate using appropriately rated T-slot bolts or clamps torqued to the machine or fixture manufacturer's specifications. At 43.9 pounds, use proper lifting technique or mechanical assistance when positioning the plate on a machine table.
