The Value Collection 417-015 is a Schedule 40 PVC 45-degree elbow designed for use in pressure and drain piping systems. The fitting measures 1-1/2 inches and features slip x slip end connections, accepting solvent-welded socket joints on both ends. PVC construction resists corrosion and chemical attack, making it a reliable choice for cold and room-temperature water service. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting during new construction and repair work where a 45-degree directional change is required in the pipe run.
This elbow is used in residential and light commercial plumbing installations where Schedule 40 PVC pipe is specified. Typical applications include domestic water distribution, irrigation systems, and low-pressure drain lines. The slip x slip socket configuration allows both ends to be bonded with standard PVC solvent cement, producing a permanent, pressure-rated joint. The 1-1/2-inch size is common in branch supply lines and fixture drain connections.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-1/2-inch Schedule 40 PVC piping systems using slip-joint solvent-weld connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Clean and dry all mating surfaces, apply primer and solvent cement per the cement manufacturer's instructions, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not apply solvent cement in enclosed spaces without adequate ventilation.
