The VALUE COLLECTION 3TSSF98C200 is a 1/2-13 x 2-inch flat socket cap screw machined from 316 stainless steel. The 82-degree flat head countersinks flush with the mating surface, eliminating protrusion that would interfere with adjacent components or mating parts. Drive engagement is through a 5/16-inch hex socket, compatible with standard Allen keys and hex-bit drivers. The UNC thread form at 1/2-13 provides reliable clamping in standard inch-system tapped holes. The 316 stainless steel alloy delivers elevated corrosion resistance compared to 304 grade, making this fastener appropriate for wet, chemical-exposed, or marine-adjacent environments encountered in trade mechanical work.
This fastener is suited for mechanical assemblies, equipment mounting, and structural connections where a flush finished surface is required. Applications include pump housings, HVAC equipment panels, electrical enclosures, pool and spa equipment frames, and plumbing fixture mounting where standing water or cleaning agents are present. The 316 alloy grade is a common specification for outdoor, coastal, and chemical plant service. Installation by mechanical contractors, pipefitters, or equipment service technicians is typical depending on the host assembly.
Designed for use in any application requiring a 1/2-13 UNC tapped hole with an 82-degree countersunk seat and a flush-mount flat socket cap screw in 316 stainless steel.
A licensed mechanic, pipefitter, or equipment technician should verify that the mating hole is tapped to 1/2-13 UNC and countersunk to an 82-degree included angle before installation. De-energize or lock out any equipment before fastener service per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Apply appropriate anti-seize compound when installing stainless fasteners into stainless tapped holes to prevent galling. Do not impact-drive stainless socket cap screws, as this can damage the hex socket or cause thread galling.
