The VALUE COLLECTION 3TSMPF08C008 is a #8-32 x 0.5 inch flat head Phillips machine screw manufactured from Grade 316 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. This screw uses Unified National Coarse (UNC) threading and is designed for secure fastening in applications where corrosion resistance is a priority. The flat head profile allows the fastener to sit flush with or below the surface of the mating material when installed in a countersunk hole. Suitable for use by electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general tradespeople working with metal panels, junction boxes, equipment housings, or structural components that require a clean, low-profile finish.
This fastener is well suited for light industrial, marine, and commercial environments where moisture, chemicals, or salt air exposure would degrade standard carbon steel hardware. Grade 316 stainless steel provides superior chloride and corrosion resistance compared to Grade 304, making it a common choice for outdoor enclosures, pool equipment panels, and coastal installations. The Phillips drive is compatible with standard and power screwdrivers commonly found on any service vehicle or job site. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 50 pieces.
Designed as a standard #8-32 UNC flat head machine screw suitable for use wherever that thread size and head style are specified in equipment assemblies, enclosures, or structural hardware applications.
Installation requires a countersunk or flat-bottomed clearance hole sized for a #8 screw to achieve a flush seating surface. Use a Phillips screwdriver or bit matched to the head size to avoid cam-out and fastener damage. De-energize any electrical equipment and follow applicable NEC or equipment manufacturer lockout procedures before fastening or removing hardware on live panels. Avoid mixing stainless steel fasteners with dissimilar metals in highly conductive or electrolytic environments to minimize galvanic corrosion risk.
