The VALUE COLLECTION 399-1023 is a round toolroom finishing stick made from silicon carbide abrasive. At 4 inches long and 1/4 inch in diameter, this coarse-grade stick is used for deburring, honing, and light stock removal on metal workpieces. Silicon carbide cuts aggressively on hard materials and provides consistent surface contact along its full length. The round profile allows access to bores, slots, grooves, and contoured surfaces where flat stones cannot reach. Toolmakers, machinists, and die-and-mold technicians keep these on hand for fast hand-finishing work at the bench or on the machine.
This finishing stick is suited for toolroom and production environments where precision hand-stoning is required. Typical applications include cleaning up parting lines on dies, removing burrs from machined edges, and refining surface finish in tight-radius features. The coarse grade makes it appropriate for initial material removal rather than final polishing passes. It is commonly used on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, carbide tooling, and hardened steel components.
Designed as a general-purpose hand-finishing stick for toolroom and machining applications requiring a round silicon carbide abrasive in coarse grade.
This stick is a hand-applied abrasive tool and does not require mechanical installation. Apply moderate, consistent hand pressure during use to avoid uneven wear or chipping of the stick. Keep the work surface and stick free of contamination between uses to maintain cutting efficiency. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when deburring or stoning metal components.
