The VALUE COLLECTION -38562-1 is a steel toggle bolt hollow wall anchor designed for fastening loads to drywall, plaster, hollow tile, and wallboard where there is no solid backing behind the surface. The anchor accepts a 5/16 inch screw and has an overall length of 4 inches. With a maximum load capacity of 1,070 pounds, this toggle bolt is suited for securing brackets, fixtures, and utility components in residential and light commercial applications. The zinc plated finish provides corrosion resistance for indoor installations. Each package contains 25 anchors, making it practical for multi-point installations on a single job.
This toggle bolt anchor is used wherever a fastener must pass through a hollow wall cavity and deploy a spring-loaded wing behind the surface to distribute load. Common applications include mounting electrical enclosures, pipe hangers, conduit supports, and junction box brackets to drywall or plaster walls. It is also rated for use in concrete, masonry, and hollow tile substrates. Trade professionals including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians use these anchors when attaching equipment and supports to finished interior walls without stud backing.
Designed for use in concrete and masonry, hollow tile, plaster, and wallboard substrates as an OEM-style toggle bolt anchor for general trade fastening applications.
Drill a clearance hole sized to allow the folded toggle wings to pass through the wall surface before inserting the anchor. Once the toggle is through the wall, pull the bolt toward you to seat the wings flat against the back of the wall surface before tightening. De-energize any electrical circuits and shut off water or gas supply lines before drilling into walls near utilities. Follow applicable NEC or IPC guidelines when mounting trade equipment to ensure the fastener placement does not compromise wiring, piping, or structural elements behind the wall.
