The VALUE COLLECTION 38488 is a carbide rebar cutter drill bit designed for cutting through steel rebar embedded in concrete and masonry. The bit measures 0.1875 inches in diameter and features a half-flat shank for secure chuck engagement, reducing bit slippage during high-torque drilling applications. Carbide construction provides the hardness needed to penetrate hardened steel rebar without rapid wear. Each package contains two bits. Electricians, plumbers, and general contractors reach for rebar cutter bits when core drilling or anchor-bolt work intersects embedded reinforcement.
This drill bit is suited for use on job sites where concrete slabs, walls, or footings contain rebar that must be cut or drilled through. Typical applications include cutting anchor points, running conduit or pipe sleeves through reinforced concrete, and general demolition drilling where rebar interference is encountered. The carbide tip handles the transition from concrete to embedded steel without requiring a separate bit change.
