The VALUE COLLECTION 375-1666 is a right-hand carbide-tipped boring bar designed for internal diameter machining on lathes and boring mills. It accepts a 3/4 inch shank and delivers a minimum bore diameter of 9/16 inch with a maximum bore depth of 3 inches, making it well suited for precision finish and semi-finish boring passes. The C6 carbide-tipped insert grade offers good wear resistance on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and general-purpose steel. Overall length is 5 inches. Machinists and toolroom operators install this bar directly into a tool post, turret, or boring head to achieve accurate inside diameters with controlled surface finish.
This boring bar is intended for general-purpose shop use in production and job-shop environments. It is appropriate for light to moderate material removal on a range of workpiece materials where a right-hand cutting direction is required. Its compact 5 inch overall length suits smaller lathes and bench-top boring setups, while the 3/4 inch shank size fits commonly available tool holders and quick-change systems.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or addition for tool sets requiring a right-hand boring bar with a 3/4 inch shank and C6 carbide-tipped insert grade.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the lathe or boring machine before securing the bar in the tool holder. Ensure the shank is clamped with adequate contact length to minimize tool deflection during the cut. Verify cutting edge height is set on center before making the first pass.
