The VALUE COLLECTION 375-1456 is a right-hand boring bar designed for internal diameter machining on lathes and boring mills. Built with a C6 carbide-tipped insert grade, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for general-purpose steel and cast iron applications. The shank diameter measures 5/8 inches and the overall length is 3-3/16 inches. It accommodates a minimum bore diameter of 7/16 inches and a maximum bore depth of 1-11/16 inches. Machinists and toolroom technicians use this bar for precision bore finishing and diameter correction in production and job-shop environments.
This boring bar is suited for use in CNC lathes, manual engine lathes, and boring mills where right-hand cutting geometry is required. It is a practical choice for short-run and production jobs requiring clean, consistent bore finishes in steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials. The compact overall length makes it appropriate for toolholders and turrets where clearance is a priority.
Designed as a standard right-hand boring bar for use in lathe toolholders and boring bar holders accepting a 5/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the boring bar from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped securely in the holder to minimize runout and vibration during the cut. Inspect the carbide tip for chips or wear before each use and replace or resharpen as needed.
