The VALUE COLLECTION 367-0361 is a hex rethreading die designed to restore damaged or corroded external threads to their original specification. It is sized for 9/16-12 thread, following the Unified National Coarse standard with a right-hand thread direction. This die is suited for rethreading applications on bolts, studs, and threaded rod commonly found in HVAC equipment, plumbing assemblies, electrical enclosures, and general mechanical systems. This die is installed by a machinist or maintenance technician using a standard wrench sized to the hex body. Apply cutting oil to the die and workpiece before starting to reduce friction and heat buildup. Work slowly in short forward and reverse strokes to clear material and prevent die damage.
