The VALUE COLLECTION 36529 is a welded 304 stainless steel round tube sized at 0.5 inches outside diameter with a 0.065-inch wall thickness and an inside diameter of 0.370 inches. Tube length runs 6 to 7 feet (72 to 84 inches), providing a practical stock length for cutting to fit in the field. Built to ASTM A249 and ASTM A269 standards, this tube is suited for fluid transfer, structural framing, instrumentation lines, and light fabrication work. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and industrial fabricators all work with this tube type where corrosion resistance and moderate pressure handling are required.
This tube is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where 304 stainless steel is specified for its corrosion resistance in wet or mildly corrosive environments. Typical uses include heat exchanger coils, condenser drain lines, instrumentation tubing runs, and structural support members in HVAC and plumbing assemblies. The welded construction keeps cost in line for general-purpose work where seamless construction is not required by spec. Stock length of 6 to 7 feet suits most bench-cut and field-cut fabrication jobs without excessive material waste.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style replacement or fabrication tube for HVAC, plumbing, and industrial applications requiring 0.5-inch OD round stainless steel tubing meeting ASTM A249 or ASTM A269 specifications.
Cut to length using a tubing cutter or abrasive cutoff wheel rated for stainless steel; deburr and face the cut end before fitting. A licensed pipefitter or plumber should verify pressure ratings and applicable code compliance under IPC or local mechanical codes before installation in pressurized fluid systems. Shut off all fluid supply and depressurize the line before removing or replacing any section of tubing. Avoid contact with carbon steel tools that can embed iron particles and initiate surface corrosion on stainless steel.
