The VALUE COLLECTION 354-0608-01 is a 3/8-16 x 1/2 inch flat socket cap screw designed for applications where a flush or countersunk fastener profile is required. Machined from alloy steel with a black oxide finish, this screw delivers solid corrosion resistance and surface hardness suitable for demanding mechanical assemblies. Drive engagement uses a Torx Plus T45 socket, which reduces cam-out compared to standard hex drives and allows higher torque transfer. The 82-degree flat head geometry conforms to ASME/ANSI B18.3 and meets ASTM F835 standards. It is fully threaded along its 1/2-inch overall length on a UNC thread form, providing consistent clamping across the full grip range.
This screw is suited for general mechanical, tooling, fixture, and industrial assembly applications where a low-profile countersunk head is specified. It fits standard 82-degree countersunk holes in steel, aluminum, and other structural materials. Typical installations include machine guards, brackets, equipment enclosures, and fabricated steel assemblies. This fastener is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces, making it appropriate for production-level procurement. Maintenance technicians, machinists, and millwrights working with inch-dimensioned UNC fastener systems are the primary installers.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation fastener for any 3/8-16 UNC countersunk hole with an 82-degree seat angle in inch-dimensioned assemblies requiring a Torx Plus T45 drive.
Installation is typically performed by machinists, millwrights, or maintenance technicians using a calibrated torque wrench and a T45 Torx Plus bit. Ensure the mating countersunk hole is bored or drilled to an 82-degree included angle before fastener seating. De-energize or lock out any equipment in accordance with applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures before accessing the assembly. Do not substitute a standard Torx bit for the Torx Plus drive, as geometry differences can damage the drive recess.
