The VALUE COLLECTION 34168 is an open end blind rivet with a dome head profile, designed for fastening applications where access is limited to one side of the workpiece. The aluminum body pairs with a steel mandrel to deliver reliable clamping across a grip range of 0.188 to 0.25 inches. The body diameter is 0.125 inches, requiring a drilled hole between 0.129 and 0.133 inches. With a tensile strength of 220 pounds and a shear strength of 170 pounds, this rivet handles light to medium structural fastening in sheet metal, fabrication, and general assembly work. Installation is performed with a standard hand or pneumatic rivet tool. Each package contains 100 rivets.
This rivet is suited for residential and commercial fabrication, HVAC ductwork assembly, electrical enclosure work, and general sheet metal joining where a flush-entry dome head is acceptable. The aluminum body resists corrosion in typical indoor and light outdoor environments, while the steel mandrel provides consistent pull strength during installation. The 0.25-inch head diameter keeps the fastener low-profile against the workpiece surface. Wire drill size for hole preparation is number 30.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-specification blind rivet for applications requiring a 0.125-inch body diameter open end dome head fastener with a number 30 drill size hole.
Installation is performed by sheet metal workers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and general fabricators using a standard hand-pull or pneumatic rivet tool matched to the 0.125-inch body diameter. Drill the receiving hole to between 0.129 and 0.133 inches before setting the rivet. Insert the rivet body fully through the hole before actuating the tool, and confirm the mandrel stem has snapped cleanly after setting. Do not attempt to set these rivets by hammer or press, as the mandrel requires controlled axial tension to seat correctly.
