The VALUE COLLECTION 34149 is an open end blind rivet with a dome head, designed for one-sided fastening in sheet metal, plastic, and thin-material assemblies. The body and mandrel are both aluminum alloy 5052, providing a lightweight, corrosion-resistant joint in a variety of structural and non-structural applications. With a body diameter of 0.1563 inches (5/32 inches), a grip range of 0.02 to 0.125 inches, and a tensile strength of 230 pounds, this rivet delivers reliable clamping force without requiring access to the back side of the work. Sold in a pack of 100, it suits maintenance shops, fabricators, and field technicians who need a dependable general-purpose fastener on hand.
This rivet is suited for light to medium-duty applications in HVAC ductwork fabrication, sheet metal enclosures, electrical panels, and general mechanical assembly. The dome head sits flush against the work surface and distributes load evenly across thin materials. The open-end design allows the mandrel to pull through and lock the rivet body, creating a permanent, vibration-resistant joint. Technicians working on residential or light commercial equipment will find this fastener appropriate wherever a 5/32-inch hole is called for and back-side access is not available.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock fastener for applications requiring a Size 52, 5/32-inch body diameter open end blind rivet installed in a No. 20 drill-size hole.
Installation is performed by sheet metal technicians, HVAC fabricators, or electricians using a standard hand-operated or pneumatic blind rivet tool matched to the 5/32-inch mandrel diameter. Drill the mounting hole to the specified diameter range of 0.160 to 0.164 inches using a No. 20 drill bit before setting the rivet. De-energize or lock out any equipment being worked on before drilling or fastening to prevent accidental energization. Do not reuse a rivet once the mandrel has been set, as the locking mechanism is non-reversible.
