The VALUE COLLECTION 331-2304 is a No. 4 shell reamer arbor designed to mount shell reamers for precision hole finishing in metalworking applications. It features a 2MT (No. 2 Morse Taper) shank for secure seating in compatible machine spindles and a maximum arbor diameter of 3/8 inches. Overall length is 9 inches. This arbor accepts shell reamers ranging from 21/32 to 25/32 inches in diameter, making it suitable for finishing operations that require tight dimensional tolerances. It is typically installed by machinists and tool-and-die tradespeople working on drill presses, lathes, or milling machines.
This shell reamer arbor is suited for production and maintenance machining environments where shell reamers must be driven accurately and held rigidly. Common applications include reaming pre-drilled or bored holes to final size in metal components. The 2MT shank fits a wide range of machine tool spindles that accept No. 2 Morse Taper tooling, and the arbor number designation ensures correct fitment to the corresponding shell reamer bore.
Designed for use with No. 4 shell reamers having a diameter range of 21/32 to 25/32 inches. The 2MT shank is compatible with machine tool spindles accepting a No. 2 Morse Taper.
Installation is performed by machinists using standard Morse Taper seating procedures. Ensure the machine spindle and taper shank are clean and free of debris before seating to prevent taper damage or runout. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the arbor. Do not use the arbor with shell reamers outside the stated diameter compatibility range.
