The VALUE COLLECTION 331-2205 is a shell reamer arbor designed to mount and drive shell reamers during precision hole-finishing operations. The arbor features a 5/8-inch diameter straight shank for secure tool holding and accepts shell reamers ranging from 13/16 inch to 1-1/32 inches in diameter. Overall length is 9.5 inches, providing adequate reach for standard machining setups. This type of tooling is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on manual lathes, knee mills, and drill presses where bore tolerancing requires a dedicated reaming step.
This shell reamer arbor is suited for metalworking and precision machining environments where shell reamers must be held rigidly and concentrically. It is applicable in job shop, maintenance-and-repair, and production machining contexts. The straight shank configuration allows mounting in standard Jacobs-style chucks, collet chucks, or other shank-gripping tool holders of the appropriate size.
Designed to accept shell reamers with a minimum diameter of 13/16 inch and a maximum diameter of 1-1/32 inches. Fits tool holders and chucks sized for a 5/8-inch straight shank.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before mounting the arbor, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is isolated. Verify that the chuck or collet grips the full engagement length of the straight shank to prevent runout. Inspect the arbor drive slots and the shell reamer seating surface for chips or burrs before assembly.
