The VALUE COLLECTION 331-2112 is a shell reamer arbor designed to mount shell reamers for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. It features a No. 4 Morse Taper (4MT) shank for secure seating in compatible machine spindles, and an overall length of 13 inches. The arbor accepts shell reamers ranging from 2-1/16 inches to 2-1/2 inches in diameter, with a maximum arbor diameter of 1-1/4 inches. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this arbor in lathes, drill presses, or milling machines where shell reamers are used to bring bored or drilled holes to a precise finished diameter.
This arbor is suited for use in machine shops, production environments, and maintenance facilities performing reaming operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is appropriate for both manual and CNC-capable machine tools that accept a standard 4MT taper spindle. The 13-inch overall length provides sufficient clearance for deep-reach reaming operations and accommodates common shell reamer body sizes in the 2-1/16 to 2-1/2 inch range.
Designed for use with shell reamers having a diameter range of 2-1/16 inches to 2-1/2 inches, installed in machine tool spindles with a No. 4 Morse Taper socket.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the arbor from the spindle. Ensure the 4MT taper and spindle socket are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating to prevent misalignment. Use a drawbar or drift as appropriate for the specific machine spindle design when securing or removing the arbor.
