The VALUE COLLECTION 328-4542 is a double angle milling cutter designed for machining V-grooves, chamfers, and angular surfaces on milling machines. Built from high speed steel (HSS) in an uncoated finish, it delivers consistent cutting performance across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The cutter features a 45-degree included angle, a 5-inch cut diameter, and a 1-inch cutting width, making it well suited for medium to large material removal on horizontal milling setups. It mounts via a standard 1-1/4-inch arbor hole and weighs approximately 2.75 pounds.
This double angle cutter is used in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments where precise angular profiles and symmetric V-form cuts are required. It is appropriate for horizontal milling machines and arbor-type setups. Typical applications include dovetail prep work, chamfering edges, and cutting angular grooves in steel, aluminum, and similar machinable materials. The 5-inch diameter provides good reach and chip clearance for heavier cuts.
Designed as a standard arbor-mount double angle milling cutter for use on horizontal milling machines accepting a 1-1/4-inch arbor diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Before mounting, power down and lock out the milling machine per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the cutter onto the arbor with the appropriate spacers, keys, and arbor nut, and verify the assembly is tight and concentric before starting the spindle. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve surface finish.
