The VALUE COLLECTION 32104 is a No. 12 pan head sheet metal screw with a Phillips drive, designed for fastening thin metal panels, ductwork, electrical enclosures, and similar sheet metal assemblies. The screw measures 3/4 inches in length under the head and is manufactured from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish that provides basic corrosion resistance for indoor and light-duty applications. The Type AB point style allows for self-tapping installation into pre-punched or pre-drilled sheet metal without requiring a separate nut. This fastener is a common consumable used by HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers during fabrication and installation tasks.
This screw is suited for light-gauge sheet metal work encountered in residential and commercial HVAC ductwork assembly, electrical panel and junction box fastening, and general metal fabrication. The No. 12 thread size and pan head profile provide a wide bearing surface that distributes clamping load across the sheet metal face, reducing the risk of pull-through in thinner gauges. Sold in minimum order quantities of 50 per order.
Designed as a standard No. 12 pan head Phillips sheet metal screw for use in residential and commercial sheet metal assemblies including HVAC ductwork, electrical enclosures, and general sheet metal fabrication where a Type AB self-tapping fastener is required.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians, electricians, or sheet metal workers using a Phillips-tip power driver or hand screwdriver. De-energize all electrical equipment and shut down HVAC systems before fastening panels or enclosures. Pre-punch or pre-drill the appropriate pilot hole in the sheet metal as required by the gauge being fastened. Follow applicable code requirements including NEC for electrical enclosures and SMACNA standards for ductwork assembly.
