The VALUE COLLECTION 317-0065 is a convex radius cutter designed for milling convex radii and contoured profiles on metal workpieces. Built from high speed steel (HSS), this form-relieved cutter delivers consistent profile accuracy across repeated passes. It carries a 3/64 inch radius, a 2-1/4 inch outer diameter, and 12 teeth, making it suited for medium-duty milling operations where profile consistency and edge retention matter. The bright finish provides a clean surface and helps resist minor corrosion during storage. It mounts via a standard arbor connection with a 1 inch arbor hole diameter, fitting most horizontal milling machine arbors used in job shop and production environments.
This cutter is used in horizontal milling setups for producing convex profiles, fillets, and contoured forms on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Typical applications include toolroom work, die and mold machining, and general precision milling where a radius form must be reproduced accurately. Machinists and tool and die makers working on manual or CNC horizontal mills are the primary users of this type of cutter.
Designed as an arbor-mount convex radius cutter for use on standard horizontal milling machines accepting a 1 inch arbor hole diameter.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist. Power down and lock out the milling machine before mounting or removing the cutter. Secure the cutter firmly on the arbor with the appropriate spacers, collars, and arbor nut before resuming operation. Inspect the arbor and cutter bore for damage or contamination before assembly to ensure proper seating and runout.
