The VALUE COLLECTION 315-1153 is a round threading die used to cut external threads on fasteners, bolts, and round stock. Sized at 7/16-24 with a 1 inch outside diameter, this die produces right-hand UNS threads and is manufactured from high-speed steel for durability under repeated use. The adjustable design allows the operator to fine-tune thread fit and compensate for minor wear over the life of the die. It is a standard toolroom and shop consumable suited for machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators working with threaded fasteners or custom-threaded rod.
This die is used in manual or machine die-stock holders for threading mild steel, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials. The 7/16-24 designation identifies a 7/16 inch nominal diameter with 24 threads per inch, a fine-pitch UNS thread series common in automotive, aerospace, and precision mechanical assemblies. It is appropriate for both production and repair threading work in shop and field environments.
Designed for use in standard 1 inch round die stock holders. Fits any holder or wrench accepting a 1 inch OD round die.
Secure the die firmly in a properly sized die stock before use. Apply cutting oil to the workpiece to reduce heat, extend die life, and improve thread quality. Ensure the workpiece diameter is correctly sized for the thread class being cut before starting. This tooling is typically used by machinists and maintenance technicians following standard shop practices.
