The VALUE COLLECTION 30900 is a set screw style shaft collar used to locate, space, and retain components on rotating shafts in mechanical assemblies. Machined from steel, it provides a rigid, reliable grip when the set screw is tightened against the shaft. The collar measures 1-1/4 inches in outside diameter and 9/16 inches in width, with a 0.75-inch bore diameter sized for 3/4-inch shafting. This package includes 3 collars per order. Millwrights, maintenance technicians, and mechanical assemblers install these collars in conveyor systems, motors, pumps, and general power transmission applications.
Set screw shaft collars are a standard component in light to medium-duty rotating equipment. They are commonly found in conveyor drives, fan assemblies, pump shafts, and industrial machinery where precise axial positioning of bearings, sprockets, or other shaft-mounted components is required. The steel construction makes these collars suitable for general industrial environments where moderate loads and standard operating temperatures are present.
Designed as a standard set screw shaft collar for use on 3/4-inch diameter shafting in general industrial and mechanical power transmission assemblies.
Installation is performed by mechanical technicians or millwrights using a hex key to tighten the set screw against the shaft. Always clean and degrease the shaft surface before installing to ensure proper grip. Shut down and lock out all rotating equipment before installing or adjusting shaft collars. Do not over-tighten the set screw, as this can damage the shaft surface or distort the collar bore.
