The VALUE COLLECTION 30627 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, this tool removes material cleanly in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry combined with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A TiAlN coating extends tool life by resisting heat buildup at elevated cutting speeds. Center-cutting capability allows for direct plunging into the workpiece. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals using CNC or manual milling equipment.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where TiAlN coating performance is advantageous. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and milling collets commonly found in vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC routers. The regular-length configuration and 2.5 inch overall length make it a practical choice for general-purpose milling where extended reach is not required. It is sold as a single unit and carries Series 3200 designation within the VALUE COLLECTION line.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank square end mill for use in collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling fixtures that accept a 3/8 inch straight shank. Verify spindle direction and collet size before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with tooling setup and machine operation. Ensure the milling machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or tool holder. Seat the shank to the recommended engagement depth per the tool holder specification and torque the collet nut to the holder manufacturer's guidelines. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tooling is brittle and should not be used if visually compromised.
