The VALUE COLLECTION 27645 is a 2-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in machine shops and production environments. Manufactured from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it delivers reliable cutting performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The cutter measures 7/16 inches (0.4375 inches) in diameter with a 13/16 inches (0.8125 inches) length of cut and a 30-degree right-hand helix. The 3/8 inches shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders. This is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece material.
This end mill suits standard vertical and horizontal milling machines, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills. The regular-length geometry and 2-1/2 inches overall length make it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in general shop work. The right-hand cutting direction and spiral flute design support efficient chip evacuation during conventional and climb milling passes. It is typically installed and run by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in both job shop and production settings.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 3/8 inches shank for use in any milling machine or machining center equipped with a compatible collet, end mill holder, or R8 adapter. Suitable for machines accepting 3/8 inches shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the drawbar or collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm proper RPM and feed rate for the workpiece material before operation.
