The VALUE COLLECTION 27642 is a single-end square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations in metal, plastics, and composite materials. Built from M2 high speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it offers reliable performance in light-to-moderate cutting applications. The cutter measures 0.25 inches in diameter with a 0.5 inch length of cut and a 2.3125 inch overall length. The 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Center-cutting capability allows this end mill to plunge directly into a workpiece, expanding its range of practical uses. It is sold individually and suited for use on manual mills and CNC machining centers.
This end mill fits standard milling setups where a 0.375 inch shank diameter is required. It is well suited for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling in tool rooms, job shops, and production environments. The 2-flute configuration provides adequate chip clearance when working with softer metals and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction is consistent with standard spindle rotation on the majority of vertical milling machines. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators working on ferrous and non-ferrous stock will find this a practical general-purpose option.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 0.375 inch shank diameter, compatible with collets, end mill holders, and side-lock holders sized for 3/8 inch shanks on vertical mills and CNC machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. The tool shank must be properly seated and torqued in the holder according to the machine tool manufacturer's specifications before spindle engagement. Confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting direction of this end mill before operation. Never exceed the machine's rated speed range for the selected tool diameter, and inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use.
