The VALUE COLLECTION 262-4126 is an expanding lathe arbor designed to hold and drive workpieces on a lathe by gripping from the inside diameter of a bore. The arbor expands radially to create a secure, concentric grip when tightened, allowing precise turning, facing, and finishing operations. With a 1.75 inch face diameter, a 4 inch overall length, and a 0.201 inch shank diameter, this arbor suits light-duty lathe work where internal gripping is required. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-room technicians working on manual or CNC lathes. The unit weighs 2.125 pounds.
This expanding lathe arbor is suited for machine shop environments where repeatable workholding on bored or hollow workpieces is needed. Typical applications include turning operations on rings, sleeves, bushings, and similar cylindrical parts that require gripping by their internal bore rather than the outer diameter. It is appropriate for both production runs and one-off toolroom jobs on bench lathes and engine lathes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit expanding arbor for manual and CNC lathes accepting a 0.201 inch shank diameter with a 1.75 inch face diameter capacity.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Before mounting the arbor, power down and lock out the lathe spindle following standard lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the bore of the workpiece is clean and free of burrs before inserting the arbor. Do not exceed the rated face diameter capacity, and verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cutting operations.
