The VALUE COLLECTION 250079 is a standard coupling nut used to join or extend two threaded rods or bolts sharing the same thread form. Made from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish for basic corrosion resistance, this coupling nut measures 1-3/4 inches overall length with a 5/8-inch width across flats. The 7/16-14 UNC right-hand thread is a common unified coarse thread found across a wide range of mechanical and structural fastener applications. Electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general trades use coupling nuts wherever threaded rod extensions or rod-to-bolt connections are required on the job.
This coupling nut is suited for light-duty mechanical assembly, threaded rod splicing, and equipment mounting applications in both residential and commercial settings. It is appropriate wherever a 7/16-14 UNC fastener connection is called for, including equipment support strut systems, pipe hangers, and general structural hardware installations. Sold individually, it fits into standard tool-and-supply inventories without minimum bulk commitment.
Designed as a standard replacement or supplemental coupling nut for any application requiring a 7/16-14 UNC right-hand threaded fastener connection.
Installation requires no specialized trade license but should follow applicable mechanical or structural codes for the given application. Ensure both mating threaded rods or bolts are clean, free of damage, and share the 7/16-14 UNC thread form before assembly. Use an appropriately sized open-end or combination wrench sized to the 5/8-inch flat. Do not apply excessive torque beyond what the Grade 2 material rating supports for the given joint design.
