The VALUE COLLECTION 2476 is a standard clevis pin machined from steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance. The pin measures 0.5 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches overall length, with a usable length of approximately 1-11/32 inches. A 9/64-inch cotter pin hole is drilled near the end to accept a cotter pin or snap ring for positive retention. This type of fastener is used by millwrights, maintenance technicians, and general tradespeople to connect clevis fittings, linkages, and pivot assemblies in mechanical and structural applications.
Standard clevis pins are a common component in rod-end linkages, toggle clamps, chain connections, and load-bearing pivot points. This pin is suited for light-duty industrial, agricultural, and maintenance applications where a removable fastener with positive retention is required. The zinc plating provides basic protection against oxidation in dry to mildly humid service environments.
Designed as a standard-geometry clevis pin for use with clevis fittings, rod ends, and pivot linkages that accept a 0.5-inch diameter pin.
Installation is performed by inserting the pin through aligned clevis and fitting bores, then securing with a cotter pin or snap ring through the retention hole. Ensure all mating components are fully de-energized and load-relieved before removing or installing clevis pins in live assemblies. Use the appropriate cotter pin size for the 9/64-inch hole to maintain proper retention per applicable mechanical codes and manufacturer guidelines.
