The VALUE COLLECTION 24-1745 is a solid carbide interior grooving tool designed for right-hand cutting operations on internal bores and grooves. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers consistent edge retention and dimensional accuracy in demanding machining environments. It features a full radius cutting profile and undercut geometry, making it suited for producing precise internal grooves and relief cuts. With a 0.5-inch shank diameter and a 3-inch overall length, it fits standard toolholders used in CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this type of cutting tool.
This interior grooving tool is configured for right-hand cutting on internal features with a minimum hole diameter of 0.5 inches. The maximum hole depth reaches 0.75 inches, and the projection measures 0.75 inches, giving the tool sufficient reach for typical internal groove applications. The 2.25-inch shank length provides stable clamping in standard boring bar-style toolholders. Typical applications include relief groove machining, undercut profiling, and full-radius internal groove forming in metals and engineered materials on production or job-shop turning equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grooving tool for interior bore operations requiring a 0.5-inch shank diameter and right-hand cutting orientation in standard turning center toolholders.
Installation and use of this grooving tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with turning center operation and toolholder setup. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before mounting or removing cutting tools. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended clamping depth to prevent tool pullout during cutting. Always verify workpiece RPM, feed rate, and depth of cut are within the tool material limits before starting a cut.
