The VALUE COLLECTION 235-7056 is a manually activated horizontal collet block chuck designed for use with Series 5C collets in precision machining and workholding applications. It accepts collets ranging from 1/16 inch to 1-1/8 inch in diameter, providing a broad range of workpiece holding capacity in a single fixture. The horizontal orientation positions the workpiece axis parallel to the machine table, making it well suited for milling, grinding, and inspection setups where side access to the part is required. At 1.5 pounds, the chuck is compact and manageable for bench and machine table use. Installation and operation require no power source — activation is fully manual.
This collet block chuck is used in machine shops and tool rooms where repeatable, accurate workholding is needed without the complexity of powered clamping systems. It is appropriate for both production and toolroom environments handling small to medium diameter round stock, hex stock, or similar workpieces. The horizontal configuration is commonly selected when the machinist needs to orient a part on its side for secondary operations such as cross-drilling, slotting, or flat milling. Licensed machinists and tool and die makers are the primary users of this type of fixture.
Designed for use with Series 5C collets. Compatible with workpieces from 1/16 inch to 1-1/8 inch in diameter. Intended for use in standard machine shop setups where 5C collet tooling is already in use.
Collet block chucks of this type are installed and adjusted by machinists familiar with 5C collet tooling and machine table workholding practices. Before mounting or adjusting the chuck, ensure the machine is fully powered down and any moving spindles or tables are locked out. Verify collet size matches the workpiece diameter before tightening to avoid collet or workpiece damage. Secure the block to the machine table using appropriate T-slot hardware or a vise rated for the intended operation.
