The VALUE COLLECTION 230632 is a carbide-tipped square end mill designed for general-purpose milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1.25 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length. With four flutes in a spiral configuration and a right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction, this end mill delivers stable chip evacuation during slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.875 inches in diameter, making it compatible with standard ER and end mill holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. This tool is sold uncoated and is suited for machinists and tool-and-die shops requiring a reliable general-purpose cutter.
This end mill is appropriate for use on machining centers, vertical mills, and CNC routers where a 1 inch diameter cutter with a regular-length reach is required. Its 6-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry make it well-suited for applications demanding controlled cutting action in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar workpiece materials. It is not centercutting, so plunge milling is not recommended. Side milling, slotting, and contouring are the primary intended operations. Machinists performing production runs or prototype work will find this a practical stock tooling choice for standard material removal tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard stock end mill for use in conventional vertical mills and CNC machining centers accepting a 0.875 inch straight cylindrical shank with ER or set-screw style tool holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with proper toolholder torque procedures and runout inspection. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe locked-out state before inserting or removing the cutter from the holder. Verify shank seating depth and confirm runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts. Because this tool is not centercutting, do not use it for direct plunge entry into solid material.
