The VALUE COLLECTION 230-4441 is a 5C expanding collet machined from steel for use in lathes, collet fixtures, and rotary indexing equipment that accept the 5C collet standard. This collet expands outward to grip the internal bore or outside diameter of a workpiece, making it suited for secondary operations where the part must be held from the inside. The head measures 3 inches in diameter and 3 inches in length. Concentricity (TIR) is rated at 0.0020 inches, providing the repeatability required for turning, milling, and grinding operations. Installation and changeover are handled by machinists and tool room technicians.

This expanding collet is designed for machine shop applications where a standard 5C spindle or collet closer is already in use. It accepts workpieces ranging from 3/4 inch (0.7500 inches) minimum grip up to 2-15/16 inches (2.9375 inches) maximum grip. The internal thread is 1.041 inches at 24 threads per inch and the external thread is 1.242 inches at 20 threads per inch.
