The VALUE COLLECTION -22696-2 is a solid carbide abrasive bur designed for material removal, grinding, and shaping in metalworking and fabrication applications. Conforming to industry specification SF-1, this bur features a tree with radius end head geometry that enables access to contoured surfaces, cavities, and radiused profiles. The 1/4 inch cutting diameter and 5/8 inch length of cut make it well suited for precision work in tight areas. The uncoated solid carbide head delivers consistent cutting performance across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists, tool and die makers, and metal fabricators are the primary installers of this type of tooling.
This abrasive bur is used in die grinding, deburring, porting, and surface blending operations common to both job shop and production environments. The SF-1 tree with radius end profile is particularly effective for working inside mold cavities, weld seam cleanup, and contouring work where a flat-end or ball-end profile would not reach. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard die grinder collets found throughout fabrication shops and maintenance facilities.
Designed as a standard SF-1 abrasive bur for use in die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch collet.
This bur is installed by machinists and metal fabricators using a die grinder or rotary tool with a compatible 1/4 inch collet. Ensure the collet is fully tightened and the tool is unplugged or de-energized before changing burs. Always wear appropriate eye protection and work gloves when operating rotary cutting tools. Do not exceed the recommended RPM rating of the tool or the bur.
