The VALUE COLLECTION 222-754 is a taper drill chuck arbor designed to connect a Jacobs Taper 3 (JT3) drill chuck to a No. 3 Morse Taper (3MT) machine spindle. The arbor serves as the mechanical interface between the chuck and the spindle, transmitting torque and maintaining concentricity during drilling operations. It is a standard tooling component used in drill presses, lathes, and milling machines where a 3MT spindle bore is present. Installation and removal are handled by machinists and toolroom technicians as part of routine tooling setup.
This arbor is suited for use in manual and CNC drill presses, lathes, and similar machine tools equipped with a No. 3 Morse Taper spindle. It accepts any drill chuck with a JT3 taper seat, making it a common replacement or spare for general machining and metalworking shop environments. Typical applications include production drilling, maintenance drilling, and toolroom work where consistent chuck seating and spindle alignment are required.
Designed for use with JT3 Jacobs Taper drill chucks mounted to machine tools with a No. 3 Morse Taper spindle bore.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians. Before seating or removing the arbor, ensure the machine is powered off and the spindle is fully stopped. Clean both the 3MT spindle bore and the arbor shank with a lint-free cloth to remove oil, chips, and debris before seating, as contamination will cause runout and poor chuck retention. Drive the arbor firmly into the spindle taper by hand or with a soft mallet; do not use steel hammers directly on the arbor. To remove, use the appropriate drift and knockout slot per standard Morse Taper removal procedure.
