The VALUE COLLECTION 219-9546 is a Style B milling machine arbor with a taper shank designed for use in heavy-duty milling operations. It features an NMTB50 taper shank with a 2.75-inch shank diameter and a 1.25-inch arbor diameter. Overall length is 30.88 inches, with a shoulder-to-nut length of 24 inches. The drawbar thread size is 1-8. The arbor ships with two arbor spacers and a running bushing, making it ready for installation on compatible horizontal milling setups. This type of arbor is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians working with knee mills or horizontal milling machines.
This arbor is suited for horizontal milling applications requiring a large-diameter NMTB50 taper interface. The 1.25-inch arbor diameter accommodates standard milling cutters, side mills, and slitting saws. The included bushing diameter is 2.125 inches with a bushing length of 3.75 inches, providing proper cutter support across the arbor span. Typical installations are found in production machine shops, toolrooms, and maintenance facilities running larger knee-type or horizontal milling machines.
Designed for horizontal milling machines equipped with an NMTB50 taper spindle and a 1-8 drawbar thread.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the milling machine spindle before mounting or removing the arbor. Ensure the taper bore and arbor shank are clean and free of debris before seating the taper to prevent fretting and runout. Torque the drawbar according to the machine manufacturer specification and verify cutter seating and arbor support bushing alignment before operation.
