The VALUE COLLECTION 214-8014 is a standard Morse taper reducing sleeve used to adapt MT1 tooling to MT4 spindles or machine sockets. The sleeve features a soft body with a hardened tang, providing a secure fit during cutting operations while allowing the sleeve to be driven out without damage to the taper seats. With a 1/4 inch projection, 124 mm overall length, and a 31.6 mm body diameter, this reducing sleeve is suited for machinists and toolroom technicians working with drill presses, lathes, and milling machines that require taper size adaptation.
This reducing sleeve is used in machine shops, toolrooms, and manufacturing environments where MT1 tooling such as drill bits, reamers, or end mill holders must seat into MT4 machine spindles or sleeves. It is a standard-duty component appropriate for general-purpose machining operations in both manual and production settings. Machinists handling taper-to-taper adapter work on drill presses, lathes, or boring machines will find this sleeve a straightforward fit for everyday tooling setup.
Designed as a standard reducing sleeve for machine spindles with MT4 sockets requiring MT1 tooling. Compatible with drill presses, lathes, and similar machine tools that use Morse taper toolholding systems.
Installation and removal of Morse taper sleeves should be performed by a qualified machinist. Power down and lock out the machine before installing or removing any taper sleeve. Insert the sleeve firmly by hand and confirm full seating before operation. Use a drift key inserted through the machine spindle slot to drive the tang and eject the sleeve cleanly — do not use impact tools directly on the taper body.
