Installation Notes

Wire rope clips must be installed by qualified rigging personnel following applicable ASME B30.26 or OSHA rigging standards. The U-bolt saddle must bear on the live end of the rope, never the dead end, per the dead-end rule. Apply the required minimum number of clips spaced at least 6 clip widths apart, tighten to the manufacturer torque specification found on the clip packaging, and re-torque after initial load is applied. Never use wire rope clips as a substitute for properly swaged or spelter socket terminations in critical overhead lifting.
