The VALUE COLLECTION 204-3236 is an ER32 series collet sized at 0.5622 inches (9/16 inch nominal) with a total indicator runout (TIR) of 0.0005 inches. ER collets are precision workholding components used in CNC machining centers, manual milling machines, and lathes to grip cutting tools or workpieces concentrically. The tight 0.0005-inch TIR rating supports accurate, repeatable tool positioning during high-speed or precision cutting operations. Machinists and toolroom technicians install these collets in compatible ER32 collet chucks or toolholders. The part weighs 0.26 pounds.
This collet is suited for production and jobshop machining environments where ER32 toolholding systems are in use. Typical applications include securing end mills, drills, reamers, and taps in vertical machining centers, CNC lathes, and manual knee mills. The ER32 series is one of the most widely adopted collet standards in general-purpose metalworking, making this collet a practical stocking item for shops running ER32-compatible spindles and chucks.
Designed for use with ER32-series collet chucks and toolholders that accept the standard ER32 collet profile.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Before inserting or removing the collet, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or locked-out state per your facility lockout/tagout procedure. Seat the collet fully into the ER32 chuck nut before threading the nut onto the toolholder body, and torque the nut with the appropriate ER spanner wrench. Do not hammer or force the collet into the chuck.
